I'm using Mullvad on android and when it's on almost any app I open (x/twitter, youtube, reddit, some games, etc) don't work unless I turn off Mullvad or allow them through the VPN with split tunneling. however trying to open a webpage, including the sites for the apps I mentioned, it works fine.
I've been using Mullvad for a while but this only started happening today. I thought it might be a DNS issue but the problem persists even after changing the DNS settings in either the Mullvad app or my phone's connection settings.
Changing the connection region/country doesn't work even if it's set somewhere in another continent.
Connecting to another Wi-Fi network (but same ISP I think) does not work, however using mobile data does work.
One idea I have is that my ISP may have started blocking usage of MullvadVPN since they have been blocking the Mullvad website for at least a year however in the app it says it's connected. However I cannot swap ISP as where I live I'm not allowed to setup my own Wi-Fi or router or anything.
If it helps at all my phone is a Galaxy Z Flip 4 and I live in central Canada.
