Gang members wait to be transferred to their cells at the Terrorism Confinement Center in Tecoluca, El Salvador, on March 15, 20

Kinda fucked up to read this caption.

You can't say they're gang members if they haven't had a trial. You mean "alleged gang members"

People love to post political stuff, the bot picks it up, but on hacker News itself it gets flagged and removed pretty quickly

Basically, we get the unmoderated view of hacker News

This one hasn't been flagged after 3 hours, and the top comment approves the state committing violent crimes as long as it gets results. This is why I left.

9/10 times if the comments lean politically left, the post is taken down within an hour, yet when the comments lean right, the post is allowed to stay. Almost like the mods of a message board owned by venture capitalists are techno-fascists?

It was flagged when I made my comment, they must have approved it since then

Why is it flagged? El pais is a very credible source, this story is super important, and the people obviously want to see it (by upvotes)

people died due to unattended mortal illnesses or because of lack of access to medication. Such is the case of a 50-year-old woman who suffered from liver disease at the time of her detention. “Despite her family taking the medications to the prison where she was detained, they were not received, and when her family asked about her, they responded that if she needed medications, the doctor would let them know,” the report says.

the case of a 23-year-old man who died on April 18, 2022: “The cadaver presented signs of blows on various parts of the body, fracture on feet and hands, long burn-type wounds on the back, which demonstrate that hey may have been a victim of torture. The cadaver was given to the family in a closed coffin,” says the report. The coroner’s report stated that it was a “sudden death.”

Dont worry, we murdered him shortly after beating the shit out of him. It was quick.
