@expatriado @Jeffool I always considered it a fad for videogames. A tool with real potential for niche engineering applications, but that's it.

Seems it might be dawning on developers as well.

@expatriado @Jeffool Oh, and aside from firing 100 developers (is that a lot?), the division also had an 18 billion dollar loss over the last year.

I'm a fan of the argument that there's room for healthy growth if it wasn't shoe-horned in as a cheap consumer product and was able to build a solid hobbyist/niche audience to grow from. But constant fits to make it a cheap consumer item may leave a sour taste in everyone's mouth based on software that just isn't ready yet.
