Without looking at other teams, that feels like a high turnover rate of captains. Averages out to a new captain every other year almost.

Oilers had 16* in 44 seasons

Asterisk because they had 15 but one of them lost it and was given it back

Flames are a giant mess of rotating but 19 players in 51

I was thinking the same. It's just under 2.5 years per captain. I always thought the Sharks had high turnover rate in captains, but they had 11 in 32 years, so that puts them at just under 3 years per captain.

I'll echo the others. Saying that you've "only" had 26 captains in a 56 year history sounds like a really weird flex to me.
