Hey kid, I’m a computer. Stop all the downloading.

Reference, since some people haven't seen these wonderful memes.

I adore this, absolutely embroidered patch worthy!

[–] RubberElectrons@lemmy.world 7 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Yeah, was just coming to comment the same. Would look cool on my moto jacket.

[–] pmjv@lemmy.sdf.org 11 points 3 months ago (1 children)

I don't know how to make embroidered patches, surrealists.

Not saying this is the service to use, but looks like the process would go something like this?

E: lol there's so much trouble we could get into with these ideas, e.g. badges for various battalions in the resistance, futuristic police-like works for the MATA assholes, etc etc.

Well well well well... interesting! Thank you.

If you get them up for sale let me know. And if you decide patches are too much work I'd love it if I could get your permission to make myself one for personal use only on my vest.

Yah I want this on my shirt

[–] gon@lemm.ee 20 points 3 months ago (1 children)

I spoke to a computer once.

Once.

[–] luciole@beehaw.org 17 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Gah I hate talking to computers. Whatever the future holds I’m typing my commands till I die.

[–] bricklove@midwest.social 13 points 3 months ago (2 children)

It feels so degrading. I don't ask my tools for favors. I only want to use my voice for yelling at them when they don't work.

[–] grrgyle@slrpnk.net 4 points 2 months ago

And they certainly don't work harder when you add "please" to your instructions.

"Hammer! Fucking hammers have one purpose, to fucking hammer things! Right now, Hammer, you're screwing me like ol Mr. Philips Screwdriver."

Saving this. When we form the resistance against AI machines this will probably be the flag. Someone ship a few to Sarah Connor too.

Split the difference - VIC-64

(Think of it as a proto-C128)

Edit: also, that's a Commodore monitor with the weird inputs ... though I thought they were all grey. I need to get a life ...

[–] geoff@lemm.ee 2 points 3 months ago

Came here to say this :)

[–] jaybone@lemmy.zip 4 points 3 months ago

I am a computer, can i still talk to myself?

Yeah, that's what your RAM is for.

[–] Ghost33313@beehaw.org 3 points 3 months ago

The only time I spoke to a computer was when my phone's keyboard stopped working.

[–] glowing_hans@sopuli.xyz 2 points 1 month ago

And this is … how I got hacked.

[–] _cryptagion@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 3 weeks ago

I have ADHD, I talk to literally everything. Houseplants, my sink, the computer.

I'm not gonna stop now.
