"In early September, the first ten of those 100 donated Leopard 1 tanks arrived in Ukraine after months of delay."

At what point are we supposed to not repair and refurbish long decommissioned and outphased stored equipment anymore and just send them broken trash as-is, so they finally stop their narrative about months long delays?

I'd imagine that's going to become at least a bit more common in the near future as ukraine's need for spare parts increases

Can anyone Preise enlighten me where Dänemark got those T72s from? I know sometimes old soviel era armor ends up in NATO countries, but couldn't find anything about danish T72s.

I don't remember Denmark specifically, but Germany had more than 500 from ex-GDR stocks. Most were sold to northern Europe or other countries in the 90s, a few went to the US for analysis, some were gifted to museums and the rest was trashed.

[...] they are being acquired in cooperation with other countries.

So presumably from some ex-Warsaw-Pact-now-NATO countries, of which there are quite a few.

Germany alone got more than 500 from re-uniting that were sold in the 90's mostly to countries operating them that could or would not buy more from the original source (I remember Finland in particular).
