Chaotic neutral isn't that bad when you're doing programming since the extra vertical space is really convenient.

I've been lawful neutral ever since the pandemic forced work from home.

I have a chaotic neutral setup for work.

I'm off the chart. I have 2 mismatched monitors - a 27" and 34", and the 34 one is an ultrawide. It's wider than the other, but their bezels still line up.

Chaotic good. I got an older smaller 720p monitor as second. Hey if it works.

[–] gsf@lemmy.sdf.org 2 points 2 years ago

Same. And I fixed the 720p with a resistor kit a few years ago when it fritzed out. Some terminal fonts look great on those chunky pixels.

So, would using a monitor and a phone screen be lawful neutral too? Because that's what I usually do if I need to look up things for whatever I'm doing and don't want to boot up my desktop web browser.

Somewhere between chaotic neutral & chaotic evil here.

One of a pair as portrait, the other as landscape; laptop left-aligned with landscape & base-aligned with portrait for an appropriately unholy trio.

I also use workspaces and screen sessions for maximal WTFery.

So, Lawful Neutral is just broke? Hunh... (Counts on fingers: druids, monks, cloistered scholars...) Yeah, that tracks.

Also, ofc I'm Chaotic Neutral. Pfft. I blame Elite Dangerous, as I was once Neutral Good, but then discovered what the game was like on an Index, and then there was no reason for the monitors to start that way anymore. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Chaotic Evil is that stupid hacking computer in Swordfish.

[–] words_number@programming.dev 2 points 2 years ago

I've been neutral good, chaotic good and chaotic neutral in the past and am now lawful evil. No idea what that is supposed to mean though xD

Lawful Good, but they're all different sizes. So.. Chaotic Good? Chaotic Evil? Who knows.

Chaotic neutral except i have a vertical one on each side like a big H. I do a lot of document writing

[–] the16bitgamer@programming.dev 2 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Hey my old monitor setup isn't here.

Main display is normal with a laptop underneath, a vertical display to the left with a laptop display on the bottom under the first monitor

Lawful Neutral reporting in!

Hello fellow compatriot, I'm not a programmer but this is definitely my work set up. Now to be a lawful person but judge everybody.

I'm at Chaotic Neutral, but my sim racing rig is Lawful Evil, so combined I guess it becomes Chaotic Evil.

And I love it.

[–] WarlordSdocy@lemmy.world 2 points 2 years ago

I think the closest is chaotic good although I have three monitors, two smaller ones on each side and a bigger one in the center so kinda lawful good too.

[–] JackbyDev@programming.dev 2 points 2 years ago

I suppose I'm technically true neutral since I have a vertical monitor on one side and my laptop on the other.

[–] nyan@lemmy.cafe 2 points 2 years ago

So if you have a monitor hooked up to a desktop on the left, and a separate laptop running a different OS on the right, is it lawful neutral or true neutral x 2?

[–] chrishazfun@lemmy.world 2 points 2 years ago

Chaotic Neutral, if you align the secondary monitor right Everything Works™

[–] ex_nihilo@lemmy.world 2 points 2 years ago

What if I use a 48 inch OLED TV as a monitor?

[–] orphiebaby@lemm.ee 2 points 2 years ago

All of these are good and sometimes necessary except the bottom-right.

[–] Mechaguana@programming.dev 2 points 2 years ago

Chaotic neutral
