Morning guys. Iโm probably going to be late for work
$123 out of pocket for a skin cancer checkup. $205 upfront, $82 rebate.
Staying alive is getting more and more $$$$
I mean, bang for buck I don't think a doctor needs to be doing the scanning, a tafe course would do. $400/ph to the clinic for scanning people seems a huge money maker.
My recent funky vivid dreams may be due to my CBD oil treatment.
Not complaining.
The post flu-vax haze is combining beautifully with the complex task I'm on at work.
Just...floating for the moment
Can someone recommend a good physio? I went to my guy who's usually great buy he made it worse and didn't seem to give much of a shit when I called back
Keiser, if you can $$
Axis Osteo and physio have been my go to for a while. They're in Maribyrnong.
Did a solid day of uni stuff. Made essential progress on the easiest stuff.
Next up is time to be data wizard, start generating plots, and when that all feels like too much I shall start with the easiest bit of writing: the method...
But that's for next time. No supervisor meet next week, top priority is to clear my work pile before I fly off. Gonna just take all my days away as carers leave I think.
Meanwhile I have bought a decent stockpile of ready made food to last me a while, between that and stuff I've already frozen and 11 days away, I don't think I'll need to cook til 10 May. All according to keikaku
Garden ramble: Aphocalypse
Iโd been letting the garden coast while unwell and was aware of a bad infestation of aphids on the worst affected plantโฆ left it because I had bigger fish to fry. Came out today and all the potted jack be littles were absolutely covered.
Spent ages scrubbing and wiping the leaves down with soapy water. The point for delicacy had passed so instead of spraying the soapy water I was scrubbing the leaves on both sides like dirty dishes and rinsing them like a salad. The dousing with moisture will absolutely encourage the mildew and the residual dish soap may harm the plants but I just had to get the pest burden down quickly. I also fed them to help replace what the pests took.
Some leaves were already dying - those got snapped off and immersed to drown the load of aphids on them (so they couldnโt just go and climb back on - or rather be carried back on by the ants farming them).
Iโll have to either plant a different variety next time or seriously plan out the disease and pest control. Organic and heirlooms seem to need a bit of attention. I saw one ladybug but honestly the rummaging and soapy water might deter it.
I donโt see a great outcome for these plants if I canโt keep this in check. At this point the aim is to keep them kicking just until the most mature fruits ripen.
The ones in ground and the golden nuggets are also affected but not as badly.
I left them as I needed to get back in to attend to Melbcat and the magpie water had just run dry.
