“I was thinking of mixing it up” pretend it’s your new favourite.

A correction once and the barista could remember the right thing (and get really excited about it). :)

Me, stating the obvious. I do that sometimes. But I will tap send nevertheless. Yes.

That isn't what toxic trait means, and I can't tell if that is supposed to be part of the joke.

Because you stated this so kindly, I'll add that for this meme style, the irony is often part of it. So yes, that's a piece of the joke: https://knowyourmeme.com/memes/my-toxic-trait

That's like the humble brag of toxic traits

"My issue is i care about other people's feelings"

[–] surewhynotlem@lemmy.world 7 points 4 months ago (1 children)

It's pretty toxic to be too shy for self care. A la The Giving Tree. That tree had issues.

Not on this level though, this is like the nice version of a white little white lie. Except instead of being an inconsequential amount of deception, it's making someone else feel better about themselves on a regular basis.

Best coffee shop I ever used to frequent was the worst at getting drinks correct. Owner was fantastic, friendly, and put years of work into building community there. Such a rare find in the city made me feel like I was in a small town again. Anyway I always ordered the same drink and always walked away with something completely different. I didn't care I was there for the community. Met a lot of good people there

Is the wrong drink the same, or is it a different drink every day? If it's different, then they are really bad.

I really love that one drink they have, I think it's called Daily Special. So good!

I’m not paying Starbucks prices to drink something I didn’t order.

That would be a good “How I meet your mother” story.

Talk about how you love a specific drink for 9 years, then swap it out on your last order?

There's a waiter at my IHOP that "knows" I like hashbrowns with my omelet and never gives me a chance to change it up to pancakes.

[–] diphthong@lemmy.world 4 points 4 months ago (1 children)

Might be time to go to the Starbucks on the next block

[–] DandomRude@lemmy.world 13 points 4 months ago (1 children)

Or not go to Starbucks at all.
