"We have heard you." - Cut out the bullshit. If you heard developers you wouldn't do this on first place.

"We apologize" - talk is cheap and apologies are just talk. Stop masturbating over words and show actions.

"for the confusion" - Unity is implying that people voicing discontentment against the move are "confused". This is gaslighting strictu sensu.

"and angst" - unlike whoever wrote that steaming pile of shit tweet, I'm not too eager to be an assumer and claim that I know someone else's emotions. However the behaviour of the developers is more consistent with "justified anger" than with "angst".

"We are listening, talking to our team members, community, customers, and partners" - refer to the first two lines.

"and will be making changes to the policy. We will share an update in a couple of days." - instead of wasting the time of the developers with this promise, show the result.

"Thank you for your honest and critical feedback." - words, words, no action.

I hope that Unity and Iron Source get completely ditched. I'm not even a game dev. (Or from the industry, for that sake.)

At this point, they could tell me fire was hot and I'd still check. Zero trust.

What you heard was goodbye in many cases.
