Is VicRoads customer service always fucked or is a one hour wait with a massive queue normal?

Had a meh day at work. Had to ask people to come in at least one day to the office just so I don't get shit for not enforcing the 3 day rule. (It's all about perception and some people were coming in 1 day a month and was getting comments from management)
A bit concerned about a friend of mine. We'd normally chat every day but they've been quiet since Saturday so have checked in with them to see if they're OK and no response... Hopefully will hear from them soon.
Realising I'll probably be in Melbourne through most of summer - weighing up if I should cough up and get myself an air purifier. I don't need a huge one, I live in a modest 2br apt... Anyone got recommendations for a brand/model that they know works well and is easy to get replacement filters for?
Honestly before I was thinking it's not going to be a crazy bushfire season this far south after so much rain but I'm no longer betting on those thoughts.
I don't think it'll be TOO bad this year in damper parts of Vic but I'd rather not be caught out if it does get bad and shit is sold out. An air purifier might be handy to have regardless. If I end up moving I could sell it or give it to a friend
I have a Philips Series 3000i Air Purifier and live in a 1 bedroom apartment + study. I've never had to get a replacement filter for it though (not yet) but I guess it works fine? Honestly I'm not entirely sure I can tell the difference but it does collect a fair bit of dust and stuff which I clean off the filter, so I guess it's doing its job. It does freak out and go into turbo mode after I apply deodorant.
Thanks!! I was leaning towards a Philips but maybe the 1000i which covers 78m2 and is closer to my budget (I was hoping to stay sub 300 but still doing research about the best price/value ratio)
The 3000i covers up to 135m2, I was thinking it would be overkill for my apt (about 70m2 all up, largest room is 13m2). I guess you would place yours in a central location and it does the whole apt? Mine has a weird layout but I don't mind moving it from room to room if need be.
I presume you're happy with the sound level of yours?
Rewatching Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging for first time since I was teen, and I have to say it was an excellent film then and it's an excellent film now. I remember my best friend being upset at the start when the main character complains about her nose because she has the exact same one, and I didn't understand how mortifying it was because I was a boy. I also remember badgering her about the slang because she'd moved from Wales the year before.

morning, good
Just did my tax. Looks I owe the ATO $2k. Fucking brutal. Getting promoted looks like it’s come with a big old fuck you from the tax man.
I've got to an assignment where I present both sides of an argument, I have two to choose from:
-
should the date of 26 Jan as Australia Day be changed?
-
is there room for Indigenous culture in modern Australian society?
I really like both options, as someone originally from NZ where it isn't perfect but our Indigenous culture is held is much more esteem, I like the culture argument but also as someone who is firmly in the move the date camp, I'm also interested in that. which should I choose?
Day awf so gonna get a bit more of the watering system done.
This thing will hopefully save a shitload of time.
But doing the mafs, 1 hr of run time will deplete the 8000l of water tank by 15% each go which means it has to go on town water which is a bit disappoint.
But also in doing the mafs, if it fails it's just mind boggling how much water there is at full tilt.
does it *need *to run for an hour? how many drippers, what capacity? What's your rain sensor situation? I've run on half that capacity with less loss.
