A 2024 article talks about their strategy: they believe in a radical 'rebirth' of the U.S. through a major financial crisis—one that would force a debt default, eliminate the Federal Reserve, and replace the system with a libertarian model centered on cryptocurrency.

These ideas may have sounded like conspiracy theories in the past, but in 2025, they seem more plausible. The current administration thrives on chaos as a distraction, yet its policies increasingly align with this vision of engineered collapse. Is this what’s actually happening?

They're certainly trying. These assholes are Accelerationists. They seriously want to resey society, but all of THEIR means and wealth, and just buy everything up and be land barrons, revert back to company towns and kingdoms run by billionaires, and so own. They are the exact antithesis to the Founding Father's ideals.

God that is terrifying. They want a system where them & their group of tech bros control the economy. At least give Linus Torvalds control.

Why Linus? At least I’d trust Linus, but not Oligarchs & co.

I personally promise to seize control of the Republic and rule with an iron first, driving all enemies before me in my pursuit of sensible economic systems (socialism)

Okay, but just so we're clear, everything bad is your fault and I did everything good.

Don't worry, we'll fake the public execution and give you a dacha in the mountains.

And their AI’s would be their Ministries of Truth, flooding the zone with AI slob 24/7. Effectively silencing the media and creating a Matrix-like veil over reality.

Sounds great /s

I had this conversation with a coworker yesterday. I feel like I'm now a conspiracy theorist when talking about a lot of current political topics, like a purposeful economic collapse so the rich can obtain more wealth and resources. Then I just keep reading headlines and get proven right.
