This was so completely deranged, to the point where it was kind of not fun because what even is this nonsense, but I kept going because I wanted to see what nonsense would happen next. I'm not sure I'd go with "masterpiece of jank" because I think it pretty successfully realized its vision; this is a surrealist and bizarre work, not an incomplete one. ...please don't ask me to explain what that vision is, though.

I played it, enjoyed it, and had no idea what the hell is going on.
It was fun because I went in with the expectation that it's bizarre and has a certain cult classic reputation.

Jokes aside, I had the same experience. I didn't understand anything and went "hm, what?" every other minute. As soon as I stopped trying to understand it was a fever dream of enjoyable nonsense.
