At least one deportee on the planes was really Nicaraguan, and not Venezuelan at all. El Salvador refused to accept him into their torture prison, because they don't want to piss off their neighbor Nicaragua.

Edit: Also, Judge Millet on the DC Circuit Court of Appeals asked this exact question: "It could have been me. You could throw me on a plane?". The government's response to this was, "Your honor, nothing of the sort is in the record!". Aka, we're not throwing you on a plane, yet.. Truly, one of the great ways to persuade a jurist to your cause.

Another choice Millet quote: "Nazis got better treatment than this!". (Referring to Germans deported under the same law during WWII, where they generally had notice, hearings, and the chance to depart voluntarily).

it's not something you should aspire to be, that's for sure. It's almost always a neurotic function of your brain. I mean seriously, it sounds cute when you larp as a free thinker, but please, dont shower for a week and see how much you care.

It's not a matter of trusting the government. (No one trusts the government.) It's a matter of trusting Trump's judgement. Even some people I know who are generally opposed to Trump are happy about the deportations because they believe that "the government" is unable or unwilling to do anything about illegal immigration (which, to be fair, was true during the Biden administration) and that Trump's expressed desire to stop illegal immigration is genuine.

That isn't a uniquely Republican attitude. Not many people seem to think that the rule of law is more important than any specific policy.

Not what I mean. It is a better thing that when it was done, it was done with due process. My point is it's right wing propaganda that he did nothing. Biden executed the law for better or worse.

Biden deported more people

Technically true, according to Reuters:

U.S. President Donald Trump deported 37,660 people during his first month in office, previously unpublished U.S. Department of Homeland Security data show, far less than the monthly average of 57,000 removals and returns in the last full year of Joe Biden's administration.

However, this appears to be the case simply because fewer people are currently attempting to enter the USA illegally.

Biden did not do anything about illegal immigration propaganda

Biden's policy was to let record numbers of people into the country and then do almost nothing for them afterwards. Apparently he was fine with, for example, relying on the City of New York to provide food and shelter to several hundred thousand completely destitute immigrants out of its own local tax budget. I would have respected a major federal-level initiative to help these immigrants. I would have understood turning them away. The federal government did neither - a total failure of leadership.

Any source on that? Because I would have thought by definition there's no easy way to track people illegally crossing the border (assuming that's the method of illegal immigration we're talking about). But the fact that Biden was deporting more (based on one month, granted) suggests he was at least more effective at addressing those that were found to have done so.

First sentence "yeah I'm a liar". Second one. I know, that's what meant when I said there were reasons, but I don't need to explain to a liar. Third one, your already a liar it was not his policy to "let record numbers of people into the country" how could it be when he caught records at the border? Your logic is broken. If he was trying to let records in why was he catching them? TDS is when you believe every single thing that makes trump look good. That was your propaganda that it was his policy.

title42 was operating for 2-3 of the four year long biden term. The last year was met with months, and months of the republicans delaying and refusing to do anything about the border, at which point biden caved and pushed an executive order (which actually did things) after like 3 failed attempts through the congress.

the problem never "started" it was a continual thing. Migration policy has historically gotten stricter and stricter over the years. Reagan literally had the "touch sand get citizenship" policy back in the day.

Whether or not it's being handled well is a different story, what we do know is that republicans lie about 99% of it. And that it's not nearly as bad as it looks, as for the current immigration problem, it's to do with asylum abuse, and lack of appropriate judge staffing (meaning year+ long wait times)

Both of these issues are incredibly easy to solve, but the republican house refused to solve either of these problems (under biden policy) and the current admin hasn't done anything (except deny all asylum entry, which i suppose works) but they're also deporting people without full due process or reasonable suspicion, which is illegal, oddly enough.

And besides, immigration only really got bad after the expiration of title42. (or at least that's what the republicans say, but then immediately contradict it by saying it's always been that way.) so who knows what's actually the case.
