For the first time in more than a decade, the leaders of Australia’s major political parties both publicly back a diplomatic intervention in the case of Julian Assange, an Australian citizen. PM Albanese told journalists in the UK, where he is attending King Charles’ coronation, that the matter needed to be brought to a conclusion.
