Ferrari boss Fred Vasseur has insisted the team's F1 title hopes are still alive, as he argued McLaren's current advantage should be taken with a "pinch of salt".

Lewis's pace was only decent because the Ferrari only seems to work well with low fuel loads, and it seems like McLaren hadn't got their setup right for the sprint.

And Leclerc's pace was fine, but he was in a car that was marginally lighter than the other cars around him.

From the sounds of the issues that they have with their car, they're going to need to make fundamental changes to their rear suspension which basically writes this season off.
