Living in vans, cars, RVs, etc

We're not homeless, we're houseless! By choice or by circumstance we are living in our vehicles. Don't worry about us -- it can be a very good life.

Anything that affects us as vehicle-dwellers is probably on topic.

My cargo van doesn't have windows, but here are my most recent spots in reverse chronological order:

My present location is a bit of an anomaly as it is a somewhat-developed official BLM campsite. Pit toilet, trash cans, and covered picnic tables. What luxuries! It's very quiet, dark skies, and only lightly visited. There are 4-5 sites depending on how you count and only 2 are taken. I won't divulge the location directly but the clueful will be able to suss it out. :-)

Awesome, looks amazing. I'd like to live a bit on BLMs in the states someday. Greetings from the other side of the ocean ๐Ÿป

Those are some gorgeous spots! BLM land is such a treasure for us nomads. I've found some amazing sites using the FreeRoam app - it shows you cell coverage too which is clutch when you need to work remotly. Been parked at a sweet BLM spot near Moab for almost 2 weeks now.

I haven't been to Moab, but I've been close enough on the Colorado side that you could basically see Moab from up high. :-) I think there are some fires in that general area; do you use Watch Duty or similar to track those? I was trapped on the Oregon coast by wildfires for about a month once and it was less fun than it sounds....

At the moment I'm at ~9400ft in Colorado on forest service land. Nice and cool up here but the view attracts hordes of chaotic/messy weekenders who leave litter and toilet paper on the ground. :-(

I don't see freeroam on the google appstore. It's listed on Amazon appstore but people are saying it's no longer accessible. Hmmm.
