Before folks get too excited about this, there's a whiff of this being a hit piece against Section 230, the part of US law that provides "good Samaritan" protection to website operators against civil lawsuits over the content on their platforms.
There's a big push to either repeal or replace this law which, while quite flawed in many ways, effectively shapes what is and isn't permitted on the Internet.
