First time I went to Greece as a stupid American. Went into thinking bullfighting was like the cartoons. Bull gets mad at red and attacks the matador.
I ended up watching a bull murder. They stabbed the bull with a fucking sword before the "fight" even began. So the bull is basically bleeding out. Then the matador got onto the arena and did his thing.
At this point, the bull didn't care about the color red. The only reason the red cape was used is to hide the blood from the bull. The bull was in fighting to survive. It doesn't matter who was in front of him.
It was one of the grossest and inhumane thing I have seen in my life. I'm glad they banned this.
