Edit: So sorry guys, there seems to have been a mixup. Here's the link to the article that goes with the title: https://www.foxnews.com/politics/social-media-explodes-after-dems-do-not-stand-for-13-year-old-cancer-survivor.amp

A couple quotes from the article:

"Democrats refused to stand for the brain cancer surviving kid! How awful can one party be?" Outkick founder Clay Travis tweeted.

"This is the first time I can remember crying during a state of the union. Thank you President Trump," Meghan McCain posted. "This is so beautiful. Anyone who has been impacted by brain cancer knows how special this is."

For those that don't want to click the link: Apparently some kid that survived cancer that wanted to be a cop got showcased at the state of the union address and democrats wouldn't give him a standing ovation. Can you imagine anything more cold hearted?

I... Uh... What?

Hey, the article you linked shows your gestapo with no drip detained a citizen's parents while they were taking her for brain cancer treatment. This is in c/conservative, so I assume you voted for this.

Sorry, the title about republicans being outraged that democrats wouldn't give a standing ovation to a kid with brain cancer used as a prop at the state of the union address was incorrectly paired with the article about the republicans that deported a 10 year old US citizen with brain cancer.

What's interesting is that when you point the hypocrisy, it doesn't phase them. That's because for them it's a power move, as if to say "we get to do this but you don't." Except in this case what they did was ten thousand times worse than not clapping for someone.

Lolwut? Conservatives vote for mass deportation and then when it happens they don't blame themselves for voting for it, the president for promising nad then making good on it, or ICE and the police in general for carrying it out.. they blame Democrats for not stopping it? That's some serious weapons-grade copium right there.

Sorry for the misunderstanding, I put the wrong title for the article that was posted. The story of the 10 year old U.S. citizen with brain cancer being deported is not on fox news, they certainly won't talk about it there.

Your title is about another kid entirely.

I think that is the point.

Sorry, a mixup.

What's your education level OP? Just curious

Seems kindof off topic. I put the wrong title with the article and you're questioning my education level?

Since we are asking questions here let me ask you this: what do you think about a group that say it's "awful" to not clap for a kid with brain cancer and then turn around and deport a kid (who is a citizen) with cancer?

Given the sarcasm in the body (despite the mixup of links), I have to assume you meant to post this in !conservative@lemmy.world as circle jerk material; not in an actual conservative community still focused on conservatism.
