I recognize most of the stuff, but I'm terminally online and a g@mer. Mind you, I don't even play Valve games, except for Left 4 Dead 1/2 back in the day, but you pick things up over time.
Explain the eye of sauron citadel to me
In front of the Citadel is Gordon Freeman. As seen in this image he does the "For Frodo charge" there is a whole (old) meme about it. The only direct connection I can find is that Lotr Return of the King released in 2003 and Half Life 2 in 2004. I guess they choose a time relevant meme for Half Life 2.
