Southgate is right tbh as much as I don't want him to call up Maguire ever again; he gets way too much hate. He's not good enough to warrant a spot, but he's not nearly as bad as even people completely unrelated make him out to be. Doesn't help that he's in the wrong system and probably has 0 confidence either.

That being said, call up Benny blanco ffs

@Astrealix @gunners If he is not picked in the team (let alone on the pitch) he’ll get waaaay less hate. He is desperately inadequate for this type of football and it’s all on Southgate.

I think it's a bit rich from Southgate, he is one who keeps putting him in the firing line. Maguire should've been dropped a long time ago, he isn't there on merit and every time Southgate picks him it makes him a lightning rod for fan frustration at the manager.
