Greetings,

I am considering picking up an sc847 as I am running out of room for drives. My concerns are power draw and noise. It looks like there are 7 80mm fans in the chassis which will make a bit of noise. I've spent some time searching and have seen people replace the fan wall with 3d printed components to use 120mm/140mm fans or even replace the 80mm fans.

I am curious from those who have done this, do your drives stay cool and are you getting enough air flow? How is the noise/real world performance? The unit I am looking at comes with the SQ power supplies. My concerns are noise and power consumption and would like hear from those who have made this journey.

Is there enough air flow with 120/140mm fans?

Is there an actual replacement fan wall that is not 3d printed? I couldn't find anything but saw an old post suggesting a norco fan wall would fit and I happen to have a norco I want to retire.
