My friend and I are planning on getting two NASes, one for each of our homes. We want to be able to essentially mirror them so if one of our houses burn down or something happens, the other’s NAS still has both of our stuff. We also want to be able to easily save photos and videos from our phones and so on to get rid of iCloud.

The two top options I’ve found so far are the Synology DS1522+ and the Ubiquiti UNAS Pro.

What do you guys think? I’m new to all this so any advice or help is appreciated!
