You wake up... but something is wrong. This isn't your room. The walls shift, the sky bleeds red, and whispers crawl through the darkness. You are trapped in a nightmare—a maze of twisted memories and lurking horrors.

Hunted by relentless demons, you must piece together fragments of your past to find the key to waking up. Each memory you recall reshapes the dream, but beware—some truths are better left forgotten.

Will you escape, or will the nightmare claim you forever?

On September 2nd, 1995, an investigator from Manila is sent to a desolate cabin in San Felipe, Zambales, where locals, haunted by chilling tales, describe a sinister figure known as the "Christmas Stalker"—a malevolent presence that emerges every September in a dark suit, white collar, and its distinguishable yellow tie, preying on innocent families before they mysteriously disappear by December.

Now, the investigator must search the cabin for clues and uncover the terrifying truth behind this elusive, malevolent force.

In Fishbone you wake up in the entry of a dead facility. All is broken. You decide to enter into the facility. Then, you activate HiRobot, an AI that says that him will help you. HiRobot can only communicate with you per message because he doesn't have a voice.

What could go wrong?

Welcome to the Burger Shop, a place where the delicious aromas of grilled burgers mingle with the scent of fear, and neon lights illuminate the path into the heart of darkness. This is not just a game, it is a journey into a world where every corner is steeped in mystery, and every step could be your last.

You are an ordinary employee of a cozy burger shop, finishing your night shift. Neon signs are blinking, the grill is cooling, and the quiet hiss of an old jukebox is heard from the corner. But just as you are about to close, something goes wrong. There is a strange tension in the air, and in the back room you find something that will make you doubt reality.

Burger ingredients are not just meat. Behind the shelves with canned goods lies a horror that you will not be able to forget.

You must escape!

Thank you for this list!

Lots of lo-fi indie horrors being released lately. I can't complain, if anything I don't have time to play all of them.

It's impressive how many short indie horror games there are. I guess it's because the focus is usually the spookiness rather than game mechanics, graphics, or story, so it's probably quite a good idea for your first game.

Although I will say a good story really adds to the experience.

I really enjoyed Mouthwashing, but I wish it was just a little bit less puzzle/walking simulator and more RPG/adventure. And I say this as someone who loves walking simulators.

Oh I think they all add to it, just that horror lets you get away without them more than other genres
