This headline is based on responses to the question "what are your biggest worries about the future of Rust", not "are you worried about the future of Rust." So of course most of the respondents answered with a concern about the language.

survey participants != all rust developers

In fact, there is no reason for experienced Rust developers to participate in such surveys at all. I don't.

Hell, the way the survey results are covered (not just here) tells me that maybe we should push for it to never be done (officially) ever again.

There's no reason for any developers to participate in such surveys, it's nothing to do with experience. I do though because I am nice.
