Sync for Lemmy

A little icon on top of thumbnails to show the image:

1. Is a pic

2. Is a gif

3. Is video

4. Redirects to a website

Option to disable long-press to hide comment.

I have never had a desire to hide a comment and I do it constantly unintentionally.

I know it's a little one but please fix the spacing of the notification when hiding posts:

I have an issue and not sure where to send it. I think "some" post makes Sync crash.

I hid about 5 posts and now there are no posts and the app doesn't crash and doesn't load new posts.

Maybe I need to relogin...

I'd like to see the "read text aloud" feature extended to the body of posts.

comment custom indentation and padding

My lemmy instance doesn't allow uploading of images at all. It would be awesome to have a setting that would change the add image function from uploading and image, to providing text boxes for alt text and link instead and have it automatically add the syntax to embed the image in the comment:

I would like it if a community would remember the sorting I selected. Some communities I prefer to read sorted by newest. Others I like to read top last 12 hours.

Not sure where to submit bug reports:

This comment contaisn a link that contains two @ symbols. Sync inserts a link with the assumption that the two @ signify a Lemmy username.

You do great work!! Sync has been my most used app for longer than I remember.

Any chance for some tweaks for tablets and foldables?

• I think it would be nice to be able to hide the navigation rail. It feels like a lot of wasted space. The FAB can do everything the rail can while being better looking and easier to reach.

• Maybe more column settings for view types (for folded/unfolded)? I like a single column on the outside screen, 2 columns on the inner screen in portrait, and 3 columns on the inner screen in landscape. This is possible in Infinity for Lemmy. But Infinity, as a whole, is not nearly as polished as your app.

I currently use Infinity on my Fold's outer display for single column viewing and Sync on the inner display with tablet mode disabled to avoid the navigation rail. These tweaks would be awesome for foldable users (all 10 of us) so we could get a better use of space while also enjoying the tablet mode features.

Thank you for this amazing app! I'd like to be able to download images to my Downloads folder. I'm on Android 12 and currently I cannot select it. It shouldn't be an issue since newer Android versions don't even require write permissions for that.

I can only find an option to block the community, not the instance. Blocking|hiding communities individually is tedious when you're trying to personalize your feed

I'd like a way to block " X " posts. The filters seem to strip leading and trailing spaces from the keywords.

Some pages don't have overscroll rubberbanding.

I'd like to not have the title of an image post not be carried over when trying to share externally.

I know that before, when I shared a picture via text say, there was an option to not have the post title accompany said picture. I'd like to have that again.

Can we have notifications about replies/messages at least when opening the app up? (It doesn't have to poll all the time for them, but hourly polling or something can be an option).

Sync doesn't seem to format post titles which have links, which breaks the titles of posts made from mastodon ( since the hashtags are in the title).
