I've spent a lot of time on the Wayback Machine recovering data from The Palace chat software from the early 2000s and have a solid archive of the era going. My most coveted data however exists in the form of the background images of a certain Palace I used to frequent. I've been searching for these images for over a decade and have found a total of 1 in an unrelated site on the Wayback Machine.

I've actually found the directory I'm after: potterchat.com/palace/palace/media in 2004, but the Wayback Machine never crawled inside of the media folder and stopped at the 2nd palace directory. I've tried a couple other archive sites that I know of, but they haven't crawled potterchat.com at all.

Social engineering my way across these has failed as nobody I've spoken with about this still has their old hard drives. These files surely exist still on some hard drive somewhere because The Palace downloaded all backgrounds directly to the user's machine, but finding the owner of one of those hard drives is nearly impossible.

What are my options from here to recover this data?
