Some indexers get their content automatically from Usenet boards, where users upload their nzbs for other users to manually download.
- Make sure you're anonymous. I.e. you're always using a trusted no-log VPN provider while connecting to your Usenet provider, Usenet Board, and email provider.
- The email provider also shouldn't know any of your real information (e.g. don't add a recovery email with your name attached). If you use a good private email service like protonmail, this shouldn't be as important as the following.
- Pay with anonymous cryptocurrencies like Monero. Pay directly from your own local wallet, not from the exchange account which has your name attached. (BTC is not anonymous, unless you know what you're doing.)
This is important as Usenet provider do follow DMCA and local laws, so they could be forced to give out any information they have on you.
