I’m not sure why people/the UFC would say that Izzy gets an automatic rematch. He’s 1-2 in his last 3 fights. He got his automatic rematch against Pereira and wasn’t able to defend the belt once before he lost it again. I’m not saying he’s fallen out of rankings. But I am saying, some one else is next for the title shot and Izzy needs to fight and beat a top contender for another crack at the belt.

Absolutely agree. On top of that both losses were pretty definitive. He got knocked out against Pereira and he didn't do jackshit against Strickland.
He should have at least one contender fight.
I don’t think he looked particularly good in the rematch where he KO’d Pereira either. Pereira got sloppy wanting to end Izzy with a violent KO. If he stayed patient he could have continued picking him apart until Izzy dropped. Instead, he pushed the action, overextended and got caught.
