Bit of a noob question but I’m looking for a usbc storage device I can plug into my phone to get away from the iCloud rubbish but I don’t know what brand to get

Some people like Sandisk some people say they’re bad some people recommend Samsung others say they’re not good 🫠

Any advice would be much appreciated
