Y'all know I love Tenn, and I'm even a Milton fan. So good for him for getting that bread, but honestly this is not what I want NIL to be.

The only good McDonalds celebrity meal was the Travis Scott one with Bacon Quarter Pounder w/Cheese, Drink and Fries for $6, which is like half off what the menu price for that combo meal is now. McDonalds rejiggered, and everything since has not been any sort of deal at all, and they can shove it.

Plus it goes to show how much they mark it up and still complain about having to pay labor

Looks like this one is Big Mac, fries and drink for $7. That’s probably 2 or 3 bucks cheaper than the comparable combo near me.

Wasn't Tennessee allegedly paying players stacks of cash in McDonalds bags pre-NIL? Is this purposefully tongue-in-cheek? (If so, I'm lovin' it)

In all seriousness, NIL -- and generally ads that target CFB fans -- is out of control. Advertisers are just making a cash grab out of people's positive feelings towards their team/school. I'm cool with jersey sales, autographs, monetized YouTube channels, whatever actually goes directly to the players. But because paying players cash directly is still illegal, huge sums of money have to go through corpos and I hate that.

Supposedly it was actually chic fil a, which is much classier. Pruitt's downfall was handing out said bags on a Sunday

Continuing the long, proud tradition of college football players getting McDonald’s bags with sketchy contents!

Also, isn’t “goofy ass promotion with local franchisee” kind of exactly what NIL was intended to be, at least according to the people pretending it was something other than a legal fig leaf to legalize boosters paying players?

And if it were a local restaurant or chain I'd be all over it. But this overtly corporate bs ain't it chief.

Article says it's just a handful of locations, probably a (corporate-approved) deal made by the local franchisee.

Ture, it's more the fact that these mcd meals show up all the time and each one merits a progressively larger eye roll from me
