I've been reading On the Origin of Species and was surprised that even Darwin had noted that species that evolved in segregated environments like New Zealand had less competition, so weren't as fit. It's amazing to see how much progress has been made to undo damage done by humans and create environments were species like this can thrive again.

Eh they're not truly gonna thrive til we manage to convince cunts to keep their bloody cats under control which is a hell of an uphill battle

I always struggled to imagine what dodos must have looked like irl until I saw these things. They almost look make-believe! Happy to see them reintroduced.

I think they're mistaken, it's a shark actually. I would know because I saw the trailer for the documentary in theaters (Meg 2)
