Just imagine Russia's statistics if they released the true ones.

Until now less than 0,6% of ruzzian population died or got wounded in this dumb and unnecessary invasion (mostly men obviously). A lot of these guys may return home - although crippled physically and psychologically - and father more offspring.

So that shit is not that harsh on their statistics. It's not great, true, but far less than 1% casualties will not dramatically alter their demographics.

This war is absolutely horrific, and Russia should not be easily forgiven for what they've done.
We need to send a clear message that warmongering countries will pay for it!

Many Ukrainian women are still in exile further west in europe, especially those with or expecting young children, for their safety. Their children are not included in this data (it says 'on the territory') but these are potentially the next generation of Ukrainians, if conditions become good for them to return.

Yeah. Both Russia and Ukraine have demographic issues, and Putin has ensured they are even worse going forward.

Not sure why your image links aren’t federating properly, but for those on LW like me that are curious;

To be fair i used the image tag on articles to break the hyperlink text into two separate boxes

Usually real direct links to images do display properly
