Kinda wild how so much of engineering is still just using lookup tables that were hand calculated like 150 years ago

yeah, it's also kinda wild how WW2 artillery equipment has been made relevant again because they started using drones as spotters

rereading Calvin & Hobbes as an adult is wild. His parents are such interesting characters, and you just don't notice it if you're reading it as a kid.
