To begin with i don't know how it was setup, this is a friends machine he bought and cant really tell me much., There is 4 x 12tb disk. plus an ssd with windows on it. He said in file explorer the D: drive came up as one big drive where all his work and photos were stored.

The motherboard has died and i'm not sure where to begin, I can swap out the board cpu ect. but when i plug the drives into the new board what happens? Does the windows install detect it was in a raid setup? iI don't want to attempt it with out a more information in fear of losing the data.

Cheers if anyone can give me direction.
