Bitcoin and similar cryptocurrencies have privacy issues of their own. Though users are pseudonymous, information about the sender, the recipient, and the amount of every transaction is published on the blockchain.
Correct, currencies like Bitcoin do have this issue. However, Monero solves this issue using stealth addresses, RingCT and ring signatures.
