I'm going to be leaving the country in a few months. Legit wondering would it be safer for me to bus to Canada then take a plane out of there instead of a plane direct out of the US?

You are more likely to die from a bus crash. Highways are way more deadly per mile than airlines.

The last time the US had a commercial airline crash with high fatalities was 16 yrs ago. While this crash is appalling, it is irrational to avoid air travel in favor of highway miles.
