Stablebit has three software programs in their suite. Scanner, DrivePool, and CloudDrive are the three. I am contemplating buying a license for the Stablebit suite. When I go to pull the trigger on the purchase, I get the feeling that batch files can do a lot of the same things. DrivePool and xcopy(in tandem with spanned volume) sort of serves the same purpose. Google Drive sync and CloudDrive seemingly does similar things. The only thing I can see differently is Scanner. There could be a Scanner equivalent through batch. I just haven't researched it yet.

So am I out in left field on this? Does Stablebit just put a nice finished GUI on things? I don't want to deny them the respect they deserve for their effort. My ignorance on Stablebit should be easily showing through at this point. Which is why I am attempting the discussion.
