The scout gets like 7 cents a box per sale. Fucking ridiculous.
It is possible to donate to a specific troop instead of getting cookies but it is extremely difficult. It is a complete scam org that happens to do some neat stuff. Teaching kids how to be the labor, marketing, and sales, but not get paid will always enrage me.

Maybe it's just me, but I would rather have some home baked cookies from somebodies grandma than the dry, mass produced cardboard wafers the girl scouts make. There's only a couple flavors that are even edible for humans.

I've seen it, places that sell hot food sometimes offer it. I've been in a suburban Lunds & Byerlys that looked remarkably like what the AI generated here, it's a bit weird tbh.
