The goal is to create an archive of genealogical/historical documents (focused on Brazil) that allows for collaboration. Meaning many people can look at it, view digital books, look through shared excel/sheets, pdfs etc. I have been using Google Drive which checks all the boxes, except that anyone outside of the owner of the drive cannot search for files inside the folders. Using the search function allows you to find folders, but not located files even if searching for a word in the title.

When using the search function in My Drive, this is not a problem. (Apparently this used to have a workaround as you could click a "Add to My Drive" button, but of course Google quietly did away with this.)

Any ideas for an alternative solution? In between a general neglect of physical Brazilian records, and a recent ruling setting an unfavorable precedent for being able to look up genealogical data online there, I want to preserve what I can, without locking it behind a paywall for others.
