Trakt.tv has limited lists to maximum 2 of 100 items and watchlist to 100 items unless you pay $60/year - do you have any alternative to recommend? (lemmy.zip)

This is a new change because not enough people find their VIP features worth the money.

I'll be moving to TMDb instead. And you should know that Trakt would not exist without TMDb open and free database and API.

So in addition to paying for multiple streaming services, there is people that paying an additional service so they can sync the watch history of all the different streaming servies? Damn.

I'm so glad I can just watch everything on plex.

People don't find their VIP features value for money because it's vastly overpriced for what it is

$60 almost feels a bit steep if it was for a lifetime subscription of trakt

Letterboxd does movies and they're working on adding shows as well. In the meantime I've been using Serializd for tracking shows.
