Hello! I don't know much about digital storage but I have personal files and photos I would like to keep on backup, as well as any files for any digital art work or graphic design I might do in the future. I don't have that much money at the moment so I was wondering if I should just invest in a couple 1tb (or less than) drives for now until I could buy better ones in the future. I've been browsing this sub for a while but i'm still unsure on what to get. For now I'm using google photos and google drive (free ofc, I just have separate emails) but i feel uneasy relying fully on a digital cloud.

I was thinking of getting a hdd and put it in a zip up case for stationary storage and an ssd for portable use maybe buy one off amazon for now and get the other in store once I have more money?
