genuine question, what do you think will the pride month do to help the acceptance of queers?
It's a protest. Every pride parade, every pride month, is a protest against the ongoing systemic discrimination, against queerphobia, against prejudice. And also, it's not just about acceptance by others, it's a loud and colorful demonstration to our queer siblings that they're not alone and that some people continue fighting.
show others and also queer people that we exist, won't be suppressed and are just ordinary people. I dislike though that corpos (excluding paizo) use it to ad-lib their allegiance during that month for that sweet rainbow money.
I do think this year's pride events are going to get bloody. I'll be taking a trauma kit with me.
