Hey guys,

I'm buying an external harddrive for my partner. She studies digital design and needs one because all of the programs she uses don't fit on her laptop.

I've been eyeing these two. The Kingston is much smaller and lighter than the Samsung, but I honestly have no idea if there's a downside to that? I'm super grateful for your help.

I was considering going with an HP flash drive instead, but I've seen people warn against using flash drives as opposed to external harddrives for running programs/gaming. Is that correct?
