I've read numerous posts on r/DataHoarder and r/homelab discussing backups and whether it is worthwhile getting into tape backups or sticking with HDD. Lots of opinion, but views differ on whether the cost is worthwhile.

So, I thought I'd have a quick go at working out the costs of both and making an easy comparison chart spreadsheet for you all to play with.

Enter the cost of your HDDs, Tape Drive, and Tapes along with the redundancy information the GREEN cells.
