I want to upgrade my old fileserver and plan to have 10x 12TB drives. I will be re-using the Fractal Design R4 case.

I have a 12 year old Seasonic currently but I heard best to replace a PSU within 10 years or whenever the warranty goes out in case it goes bad and starts killing drives/devices.

What do you guys recommend now a days? I see the PSU Tier List hasn't been updated in over a year and does not show how many SATA connectors are for each.

Also, if I decide to shuck some 12TB WD I have would I have to do the pin modification if I use a newer PSU or that is only for older PSU's where I have to modify the pin?

Thanks!
