I need to get an HBA and I am looking into a 9500-8i, I can get one for around $250 from art of the server that I know is legit. There are also much lower price option(under $100) for what is listed as the same card one ebay and aliexpress, I know these are most likely knockoffs considering the cards should be more expensive.

My question is there a higher risk of data loss in using a counterfeit card vs legit? I am know if I get a knockoff that functions like the real thing... as long as it works I don't really care much about build quality. I am even ok if I have to replace to card someday but I am not ok if a counterfeit causes my data to get corrupted.

Please answer the poll if a counterfeit HBA is ok for data integrity (using zfs)
