Hi!
Some time ago I got really mad when I was watching a tv show and they took it out of Netflix before I finished it.
The final decision to start downloading all the movies and TV shows I want to watch or re-watch came when movies started costing money apart from the money I already was paying for the monthly service. What the hell is even that?
Well, after the unnecessary rant here comes the question hehe
I currently have 2tb hard drive disc and it’s completely full. It has my top rated movies in IMDb, the whole Trek Franchise and Stargate SG1
I realized that I need more space, as there are several tv shows and movies I still wanna have in local
(Important info!!) To play them, I have a Plex server in my laptop and I just play it in my tv. I’m the only one that is gonna access it and only from the tv (or maybe if I learn how to configure it, a tablet), but always from my house and my network
I’m doubting between buying two 14tb (or 20) hdd. One for main and one for backup, and use the 2tb one to backup a third copie of my favourite shows and movies.
The alternative is buying a Synology NAS, but I don’t think I will be using the features to justify the price, cause if those 14tb run out, I can buy another one and start labeling them, making an excel file to search which shows are in which HDD
What do you think?
