Why is every famous spartan pithy line something they said before they got their shit rocked?
“Come and take them” ok. Then all the Spartans die and all of their allies while the Athenians are destroying fleets and winning the war.
“If” ok, the Macedonians fucking rock you and pillage your land you useless slavers.
I fucking hate Spartans.
People get most of their info about Sparta from that stupid comic. Athens was a slave state as well, but was basically the foundation of Western culture. All we got from Sparta are a couple of cocky one liners.
And team building exercises, like the elephant walk.

I mean there's the whole institutionalized child rape and physical abuse thing to hate them for as well, but you do you.
I mean I hate basically every aspect of Ancient Sparta. There is nothing I loathe more than slavers. Basically fuck most of Ancient Greece. But I hate the Spartans the most because I find their system loathsome.
